VR came presenting complaints of a large allergic skin rash on her forehead and palm (that she had for over 20 years), acute social anxiety at work and other social settings, chronic fatigue, dry cough (since childhood) and excessive sweating of the palms and soles.

INTERVENTION

VR’s treatment began with a single constitutional remedy. After a thorough review, she was also suggested dietary and lifestyle changes. Sleep hygiene and journaling were integrated into her treatment protocol too. Like most patients, these changes were encouraged in small, easy-to-follow steps.

Homeopathic remedies work at a cellular level. Some improvements were immediate while others took a couple of months. Currently VR no longer has the birthmark-like rash on her forehead and palms (even after discontinuing the medications). There is no trace of the allergy in her life. Child A was presenting complaints such as profuse perspiration of palms and soles (their footwear needed to be changed every 2–3 months), high anxiety, steroid dependency, cold/flu, and nightly asthma attack (the entire family had not slept well for several years). Parents were concerned about daily steroid intake, and wanted to discontinue it since it was not effecting any permanent resolution. The root cause analysis pointed to the influenza infection, at the age of four, as the start of the deteriorating health.

INTERVENTION

Based on the above discovery, holistic homeopathic remedy was prescribed. Parents weaned the child off existing medications. In pediatric cases, parent involvement is critical, especially when introducing specific dietary protocols. The excessive sweating was the first to resolve within a month. Within three months, A saw resolution in wheezing and asthma and the family was able to sleep through the night peacefully.

It was critical that A's many issues were resolved before puberty and were treated at a deeper level. It has been three years and A has become more confident and is less anxious. She no longer misses school and even went on to join the athletics program, and represented the school at many events.

"A was very fragile and sensitive regarding health. It was really a tough time for her as well as for us as parents. She was always fed with high doses of medicines and steroids to keep the wheezing under control. Everyday we used to give her nebulisation, and doctor visits were very frequent. Even if she is exposed to a little breeze, she used to get wheezing at night.
